General Design Rules

 

Shadow Mask and Legs always have to be the darkest color of all markings

Facial markings, unless stated otherwise, are always symmetrical

​

All markings have hard edges and solid colors, gradients are not allowed.

​

 Avoid to 'FAKE' other Markings.

​

Always make sure that the base coat is clearly distinguishable and not mistaken for a marking

​

Body- and facial markings can mimic the existing pattern on the Saliko, as long, they do not look

like other existing markings.

Generally, all markings and 30% of the base color need to be clearly visible! Only when piebald or merle are present, some markings may be hidden and the base may show less.

Good to know: 

After you picked a base color from a slider, you need to stay in this sliders color range for the rest of the design - but with the markings you may change the hue and saturation a bit, as long as the colors visually suit each other! As soon as a color looks "off", you need to correct your design!
